Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service through the checkout lanes, ensuring customers receive a positive and personalized experience.
  • Greet customers entering the store and respond promptly to their needs, building a loyal customer base.
  • Assist in overseeing the accurate and efficient operation of all cash registers, ensuring seamless transactions and minimizing wait times.
  • Process payments by cash, check, credit cards, gift cards, or automatic debits, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.
  • Assure completion of all Point of Sale (POS) transactions and the proper control of all cash at the registers, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Model exceptional, fast, and friendly customer service, setting a positive tone for the entire store.
  • Review customer feedback and survey results to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance the customer experience.
  • Prepare, package, and stock store merchandise, ensuring accurate pricing and sales floor conditions.
  • Ensure all products are accurately priced and sales prices are maintained and up to date, adhering to company pricing policies.
  • Provide consultation to customers on consumer products, offering expert advice and recommendations.
  • Execute ad set compliance, including signage, to maintain a visually appealing and engaging store environment.
  • Meet or exceed sales floor condition expectations in the respective department, maintaining a high level of store appearance and organization.
  • Promote a safe work environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Reliable and consistent attendance is required, ensuring seamless coverage during peak periods.
  • Proper usage of production planner and Fresh Dashboard, utilizing data to inform sales floor decisions and optimize customer engagement.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of related retail experience, with a focus on customer service and sales floor operations.
  • One year of management experience, with a proven track record of leadership and team development.
  • Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus, with knowledge of organic products and store operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team members, providing clear and precise direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and address root cause issues, maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritizing responsibilities and meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information, using data to inform sales floor decisions and optimize customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult with customers on all areas pertaining to their department, offering expert advice and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members in all areas of the organization, including hourly positions.
  • Successful completion of all required certifications, including ServSafe.
