Role Summary:
This role is integral to the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The selected candidate will embody the values of International SOS while delivering essential services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer comprehensive anesthetic care for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to general surgery, orthopedic surgeries, and more.
  • Ensure high standards of anesthesia care in alignment with the guidelines established by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).
  • Provide primary coverage for patients in surgical intensive care, manage acute and chronic pain, and conduct diagnostic procedures as required.
  • Deliver consultative services at the patient's bedside or in an outpatient setting as necessary.
  • Perform emergency airway management and maintain timely attendance for scheduled procedures.
  • Adhere to all educational and mandatory training requirements set forth by the VA.

Qualifications:

  • Unrestricted RN License in any state.
  • Certification or eligibility from the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).

Educational Background:
Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from an accredited institution.

Physical Demands:
The role requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods, with occasional bending and lifting of up to 30 lbs.

Additional Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and able to obtain VA Public Trust Clearance.

Compensation:
Hourly rate ranges from $200 to $250, based on experience and qualifications, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
