Overview:
GreenLife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated RN Surveyor to join our team. This role involves conducting thorough evaluations of healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with established regulations and standards. The position is fully remote with a significant travel requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
The RN Surveyor will play a crucial role in various survey types, including re-certification, comparative assessments, complaint investigations, and follow-up visits. Responsibilities include:
- Performing on-site evaluations of Medicare-Medicaid certified healthcare facilities to assess adherence to federal regulations.
- Preparing for surveys through off-site research, facility tours, care observations, record examinations, and interviews with staff and families.
- Analyzing multiple aspects of healthcare systems, focusing on quality of care, residents' rights, and facility conditions.
- Communicating identified compliance issues with facility personnel during site reviews and exit discussions.
- Assessing the adequacy of corrective action plans.
- Conducting follow-up assessments to verify the implementation of corrective measures.
- Assisting in training initiatives for facilities and participating in relevant workgroups.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
- Completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of recent experience in surveying or accrediting long-term care facilities is essential.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
- Proven ability to make independent decisions and effectively manage the survey process.
- Strong prioritization skills for survey tasks.
- Capability to address conflicts and seek assistance when necessary.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time is essential.
