Position Title: RN Health Care Facility Evaluator

GreenLife Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated RN Health Care Facility Evaluator to join our team. This role involves working in a dynamic environment that supports both internal and external stakeholders across the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

The position is fully remote with travel requirements of up to 75%. The Evaluator will participate as a team member or lead in various survey types, including re-certification, comparative assessments, complaint investigations, and revisits. These surveys will cover a range of healthcare settings, such as ambulatory surgical centers, Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, end-stage renal disease facilities, Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities, hospitals, critical access hospitals, and hospice services. The Evaluator will travel to healthcare facilities nationwide to conduct surveys that assess compliance with established regulations and standards of care. Specific duties include:
  • Conducting on-site evaluations of Medicare-Medicaid certified healthcare facilities to ensure adherence to Federal regulations.
  • Preparing for surveys through off-site research, facility tours, care observations, record reviews, and interviews with staff and families.
  • Assessing various aspects of the healthcare facility, including quality of care, patient rights, and facility conditions.
  • Communicating non-compliance findings to key personnel during site reviews and exit conferences to ensure clarity on identified deficiencies.
  • Evaluating the acceptability of proposed corrective action plans.
  • Performing follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to verify the implementation of corrective measures.
  • Assisting with training for facilities and participating in relevant workgroups as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess an Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and successful passing of the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) is required.
  • A minimum of two years of recent experience as a surveyor in accrediting or certifying facilities serving long-term care residents.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to make independent decisions and effectively manage the survey process.
  • Strong prioritization skills for managing survey tasks independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to address conflicts and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time is essential.
