Job Summary

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for maintaining close communication with existing customers to achieve a successful business partnership through excellent and thorough customer service for any issues raised by the customer.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining customer master files and customer contact records in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) computer system
  • Generating quotes using methodology and procedure provided by management
  • Recording market intelligence in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system regarding market price, competitive activities, and general industry information for team knowledge and management review
  • Actively following up on open quotes over $1,000 and entering the feedback into the CRM system for management review
  • Maintaining customer purchase orders and submitting them to Production Scheduling for processing

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related customer service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical information including drawings
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or issues with excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
