Job Overview

Beauty Industry Group (BIG) is in search of a skilled Senior Brand Planner to take charge of the supply chain operations within our organization. This pivotal role focuses on procurement and demand & supply forecasting to maintain optimal product availability. The successful candidate will oversee all elements of purchasing forecasts, supply chain logistics, and production scheduling for designated brands and product lines.

This position necessitates close collaboration with brand teams and the supply chain department to ensure that inventory levels are aligned with production needs, thereby supporting overall sales objectives. The role will report directly to the VP of Global Planning, Sourcing & Supply Chain, contributing to both short-term and long-term strategic initiatives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee demand & supply forecasting and procurement for assigned brands/categories/SKUs utilizing Demand Works and ERP systems.
  • Formulate sales projections, inventory strategies, and budgets in partnership with the finance team.
  • Conduct business analysis and reporting to facilitate financial forecasting.
  • Lead forecasting and supply planning meetings for new products, ensuring performance metrics are met.
  • Manage the replenishment process for all assigned brands/categories/SKUs, including new product introductions.
  • Direct replenishment strategies and manage budget expenditures in accordance with Open to Buy principles.
  • Determine optimal purchasing quantities for all managed brands, categories, and SKUs.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing Agents for order placements in NetSuite and supplier confirmations.
  • Develop and maintain demand & supply planning tools.
  • Generate and manage sales & inventory reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Supervise purchasing of warehouse materials and store fixtures.
  • Oversee billing research processes.
  • Manage in-stock reporting, logistics, and cost of goods sold.
  • Optimize case pack configurations and minimum order quantities.
  • Ensure forecast accuracy through reporting, root cause analysis, and action planning, supporting the consensus forecast & S&OP process.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding purchase orders, production schedules, and ongoing management of purchase order adjustments to optimize inventory levels.
  • Support factory capacity and raw material planning.
  • Manage materials and authorizations effectively.
  • Conduct SKU rationalization for managed brands & SKUs.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and create reports as needed by the business.
  • Update Supply Chain dashboards regularly.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply planning or a related field.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a proven track record of implementing effective changes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with supply planning systems (e.g., NetSuite, Demand Works) is highly desirable.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in various computer applications (e.g., NetSuite, Grow, Tableau).
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions under time constraints.
  • Detail-oriented yet adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in international procurement and shipping is a plus.
