About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our Industrial Systems Engineering team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Operations group and driving process improvements across our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Factory Industrial Engineers and Program Industrial Engineers to develop and implement predictable manufacturing systems.
  • Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify areas for improvement and lead opportunities for optimization.
  • Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
  • Develop and maintain process flows, value stream maps, and other visual aids to communicate manufacturing processes and key metrics.
  • Collaborate with project managers and factory support functions to improve and modify the factory footprint and layout of factory equipment as needed.

We offer paid certifications on Lean Tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and internal best practices that can be applied to projects promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • Typically requires a degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Systems Engineering, or other STEM degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of factory/manufacturing experience or 3 years with a master's degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degreed Industrial Engineer with Manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Proficient in Lean Principles, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints methodologies and tools.
  • AutoCAD, Visio, SQL, Power BI, and Process Simulation exposure.

We offer a competitive salary range of $77,000 - $163,000 and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit and whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
