Power Management/Electrical Design Engineer Job Overview:

This role involves a comprehensive range of engineering tasks focused on the planning and design of electrical products, tools, machinery, and other equipment that operates electrically. Collaboration with various engineering disciplines is essential to enhance production quality, efficiency, and output.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Functions:

  • Lead project management and design initiatives for new RELL Power products.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for existing RELL Power products.
  • Develop proposals that include risk assessments for potential new products.
  • Engage in product review and engineering discussions.
  • Design and develop switching power supplies and ultracapacitor-based modules.
  • Conduct PCB design and layout, with proficiency in Cadence OrCad/Allegro PCB Designer being advantageous.
  • Organize work schedules to meet project deadlines and technical specifications.
  • Review the progress of other engineers and assess the outcomes of their work.
  • Maintain fluency in relevant technologies and application domains.
  • Produce complete, accurate, and industry-standard electrical schematics.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites for installation, testing, and troubleshooting may be required.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers in design principles and critical thinking.
  • Must possess authorization to work in the US.

Supervisory Duties: Oversee junior Electrical Engineers and CAD Drafters.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated individual with a proven ability to concentrate efforts, navigate challenges, and achieve key objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience or a master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Desirable prior design experience in areas such as energy storage, power generation, renewable energy, and power conversion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Work Environment:

  • On-site Office/Lab setting.
