Job Description

The Automotive Training and Development Expert plays a critical role in our team, providing essential on-site training and support at OEM vehicle assembly plants.

This role focuses on equipping plant personnel with a comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems, particularly electrical and assembly processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering training materials, conducting root cause analysis, and serving as a liaison between product engineering and assembly teams to facilitate efficient production launches.

Extensive travel to OEM locations is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site training sessions on vehicle assembly processes, electrical systems, and diagnostic techniques for OEM plant personnel.
  • Perform root cause analysis on assembly issues and vehicle deficiencies, recommending improvements.
  • Develop and distribute training materials related to vehicle assembly, electrical system architecture, and schematics.
  • Communicate insights, share developed materials, and facilitate knowledge transfer between multiple plant locations.
  • Participate in plant launch meetings, providing training reports to management and OEM launch teams.
  • Work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and vendors to validate training materials pre-production.
  • Identify and assess ongoing training needs across OEM assembly plants.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum four years of experience as an automotive instructional designer, training developer, automotive instructor, or manufacturing instructor.
  • Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics, OEM tracking/reporting systems, and dynamic vehicle testing systems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters and OEM diagnostic scan tools.
  • Skilled in reading electrical schematics and supplier harness prints.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for training material development.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% for training and support purposes.
  • Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
Certifications:
  • ASE certification is required.
