Position Overview

The Business Intelligence Manager will be responsible for establishing a robust analytics framework and infrastructure across various business sectors at Aston Carter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement: Create a scalable business intelligence framework that caters to multiple business units.
  • Technical Roadmap Management: Oversee the execution of a technical roadmap aimed at enhancing our analytics and reporting databases.
  • Collaboration with Data Engineering: Work closely with data engineering teams to define ETL requirements for data transformation and loading from diverse sources. Design and maintain data models and pipelines.
  • Tool Deployment: Lead the deployment and adaptation of new business intelligence tools and services.
  • Guidance and Support: Provide direction to business teams regarding data sources and dashboard utilization, ensuring uniformity in data application across departments.
  • Process Automation: Identify and rectify inefficient manual processes in data analytics by implementing automated solutions.
  • Analytic Work Management: Manage and prioritize the analytic work queue, encompassing problem formulation, data collection, requirements specification, processing, analysis, and presentation. Develop automation and analysis pipelines for scalable insights.
  • Dashboard Creation: Collaborate with business and analytic leaders to develop key performance indicator dashboards that evaluate the effectiveness of digital products, marketing efforts, and customer experiences.
  • Data Reporting Requirements: Partner with product, marketing, and other business teams to establish data reporting needs and deliver effective business intelligence resources and solutions.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze and curate extensive data sets utilizing data preparation tools and SQL.
  • Reporting and Insights: Construct and maintain reports, dashboards, and presentations that convey insights in an accessible manner to facilitate informed business decisions.
  • Customer Engagement Analysis: Provide analytical insights and recommendations aimed at enhancing customer acquisition, engagement, and retention for Aston Carter's products and services.
  • A/B Testing Support: Assist in A/B testing initiatives to uncover opportunities for improving product user experiences.
  • Ad-hoc Analytics: Manage and deliver all ad-hoc analytics requests.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing complex and unstructured data sets, along with developing analytic and reporting data warehouses, data marts, and data pipelines.

At least 5 years of experience in SQL and/or Python for data manipulation and analytics.

5+ years of experience in overseeing analytics and reporting data tables supporting large or multiple business units.

5+ years of experience in creating dashboards and visualizations using PowerBI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.

5+ years of experience in a managerial role.

Strong problem-solving capabilities, utilizing data to identify and resolve issues, manage stakeholder concerns, and create efficient analytic solutions while presenting results to influence decision-making.

Ability to define a data infrastructure roadmap and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Additional Skills:
  • Experience in developing data integrations with various data sources and systems.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Expertise in data analytic methodologies and statistics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
