Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Health Information Management Specialist to join our team at Ochsner Health. This role is responsible for processing medical records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of patient information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retrieve and review information as needed for completion of daily tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, staff, providers, and management to complete job duties.
  • Review and process incoming requests and/or assignments.
  • Resolve issues that arise related to specific job functions.
  • Develop, compile, and distribute logs, reports, statistics, etc. as necessary.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4 years of relevant experience required.
  • Strong computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The incumbent will be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
