**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our fitness center in Oakland, CA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the site, including operations, staffing, revenue, and marketing.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage and direct all operations, staffing, revenue, and expense goals
  • Act as a direct liaison between Workplace Well-being and the Client's supervising department
  • Implement and follow all Workplace Well-being and Client policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to member/guest suggestions, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, coaching, motivating, scheduling, training, developing, evaluating, and firing staff
  • Ensure the staff provides gold standard customer service and quality programming to the membership
  • Enhance staff retention by making it a motivating and engaging place to work with professional development opportunities

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree with two to three years of management experience
  • Ability to multi-task, execute time management and problem-solving skills, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to hire, coach, train, and develop staff
  • Thorough knowledge of financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic business planning
  • Prior experience in corporate fitness settings and/or spa settings
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
  • Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and finance/payroll systems
