Job Summary:The Building Code Compliance Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections of buildings and structures to ensure compliance with the Town's building codes and ordinances. This includes reviewing plans and permits, conducting site visits, and issuing citations for non-compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building codes and regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

- Review plans and permits to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Issue citations for non-compliance and work with property owners to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Provide education and training to property owners and contractors on building codes and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in construction technology or related field desired.
- Minimum of three years of experience in building inspection or related field.
- ICC Building Inspector Certification required.
- Valid State Driver's License and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
The Building Code Compliance Inspector will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
