Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks in a safe and professional manner.
  • Take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas and keep tools out of the reach of children.
  • Must possess basic mechanical knowledge and show competence in the use of hand tools, meters, measuring devices, and gauges.
  • Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals is helpful.
  • Must be able to explain conditions and situations accurately while troubleshooting and function with safety, moral, and efficiency of the department in mind.
  • Ability to work all shifts and hours as scheduled.
  • Must comply with all corporate and facility policies and dress code.
  • Must understand written and verbal communications and have good written and oral communication skills.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, specifications, and ordinances.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Trade school or vocational school preferred.
  • Minimum of two years experience in building systems preferred.
  • Depending on location, a valid driver's license and a good driving record may be required.
