Building Maintenance Specialist

As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and repairs to industrial systems to ensure they are functioning within design capabilities and meet applicable standards.
- Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete the repair, and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure that equipment and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
- Review inspections of industrial systems to ensure they are operating within design capabilities and achieving environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
- Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
Requirements
- Commercial HVAC and Facilities systems maintenance and repair experience.
- Ability to perform assigned repairs, emergency, corrective, and preventive maintenance.
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, and lighting maintenance.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Proven experience as a building engineer; minimum of four years.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred certification in two or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC and Refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair as well as CFC Certification.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
