Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician Level II to join our team. As a key member of our Sterile Processing Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infection Control and Prevention
    • Adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a sterile environment.
    • Implement Standard Precautions to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Quality Assurance and Monitoring
    • Validate and maintain sterilization and disinfection protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor and record sterilization and disinfection processes to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Instrument Processing and Preparation
    • Process and prepare reusable medical instruments and equipment for sterilization and disinfection.
    • Assemble and package instruments and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Equipment and Supply Management
    • Manage and maintain inventory of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
    • Order and restock medical instruments, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification
    • Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) certification or equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • One year of experience in instrument processing or a related field required.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and instrumentation.
    • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions and protocols.
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
