Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Northshore. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of diagnostic results through the performance and maintenance of multiplex instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of routine and complex assays in at least three areas of the clinical laboratory.
  • Ensure the accuracy and precision of diagnostic results through performance and maintenance of multiplex instrumentation systems.
  • Routinely resolve technical and interdepartmental problems related to the various laboratory areas.
  • Readily identify problems that may adversely affect performance or reporting of results and take corrective action or notify supervising personnel when appropriate.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or the requisite courses to meet CLIA requirements for moderate to high complexity testing.
  • MLT (ASCP) certification preferred, ongoing certification is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience preferred.
