Your Role:

As a software engineer, you will face the exciting challenge of creation and innovation. You will be responsible for delivering functional requirements and technical solutions by collaborating with product owners, product teams, and IT cross-functional groups. Your duties will include designing, developing, testing (automation), deploying, and self-documenting operational software. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking abilities and exceptional judgment to prioritize multiple tasks, making a lasting impact for our client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a wide range of tasks from backend development to user interfaces, content management, messaging, and web services.
  • Design, code, test, and deploy comprehensive systems.
  • Tackle complex business challenges using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Question established beliefs, assumptions, processes, and products with a forward-thinking perspective.
  • Embrace the philosophy of "You build it, you own it" by providing support to identify, resolve, and communicate business impacts.
  • Explore new technologies and enjoy discovering the best tools for the job.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Intel Clearance with a favorable polygraph is mandatory.
  • 5+ years of experience in Java and JavaScript.
  • 5+ years of proficiency with various frameworks, including but not limited to Spring, Struts, Grails, Hibernate, and JPA.
  • Experience with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented, multi-threaded, and asynchronous programming.
  • Exceptional debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automated testing/scripting.
  • Knowledge of CSS (2 or 3) and HTML (5).
  • Experience with Apache Tomcat, Jetty, and OpenSSL.
  • Previous role as a Scrum Master.
  • AWS experience.
  • Proficient in GitHub using pull requests, feature branching, and code versioning.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins for build/test/delivery automation.
