Job Title: Lead Communications Engineer

At Texas Tech University, we are seeking a highly skilled Lead Communications Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and performing technical work in the design, development, maintenance, and installation of various types of telecommunications, television production, digital video, cable television, and satellite uplink systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and perform technical work in the design, development, maintenance, and installation of various types of telecommunications, television production, digital video, cable television, and satellite uplink systems and networks.
  • Directly supervise several employees in the Telecommunications area.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Five years experience in field dealing with television, telecommunications, and broadcast systems.
  • Or nine years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
