Position Summary:
Inova Primary Care is in search of a Manager of Outpatient Practice to lead the teams at both the Mount Vernon and Old Town locations. This is a Full-time position with Day shifts from Monday to Friday.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED (Bachelor's Degree or three years of management experience preferred)
- Minimum: Three years of management experience OR three years of experience in an outpatient practice setting OR completion of a 12-month graduate administrative fellowship closely collaborating with Inova senior leadership in Ambulatory strategic initiatives. Preferred: 3 years of ambulatory experience. Inova Team Lead Experience.
- Exhibits effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to practice processes and workflows.
- Works collaboratively with the Director of Outpatient Practices or other designated leaders to resolve issues within established timelines.
- Coordinates provider office schedules, monitors patient volumes, patient access, and levels of patient service to ensure satisfaction.
- Ensures compliance with federal and/or state regulations as well as all other external governing authorities.
- Oversees and monitors the performance of front-end Revenue Cycle functions (i.e., insurance verification, registration, co-pay collection, and charge entry) to ensure adherence to sound accounting practices.
- Collaborates with related departments such as Physician Billing, Patient Financial Services, and Medical Records to identify opportunities for financial enhancement.
- Manages Outpatient Practice alongside the Director of Outpatient Practices or other designated leaders to ensure effective performance, which may include hiring and training team members, developing and implementing business strategies, managing team performance, and delegating tasks.
- May undertake additional duties as assigned.
