Job Title: Chief Technology Officer

At Mary McDowell Friends School, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer to lead our technology department. As a key member of our school leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our technology strategy, ensuring that our technology infrastructure is secure, reliable, and aligned with our educational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with our school's mission and goals.
  • Lead and manage a team of technology professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our technology infrastructure, including data management systems, network architecture, and IT support services.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our technology systems, implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity defenses and data protection strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align technology initiatives, policies, and services with the needs of each campus and various all-school departments.
  • Develop and lead technology training programs for faculty and staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices.
Requirements:
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with advanced coursework in information systems or a related field desirable.
  • A deep understanding of diversity practices and a commitment to fostering culturally competent and anti-racist work environments.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience leading technology departments and supervising technology employees.
  • Hands-on experience managing and administering major components of an IT/IS program in an enterprise organization, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
  • Experience leading organizational change and implementing staff development initiatives in alignment with a strategic vision.

We offer a competitive salary range of $200,000 - $220,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.
