Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at the DoubleTree by Hilton Battle Creek. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef in overseeing the kitchen, operations, and ensuring the preparation, presentation, and delivery of high-quality dishes for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Chef to plan and execute menus that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and maximum productivity.
  • Oversee food preparations, cooking, and presentation to meet established standards.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels for maximum productivity and highest standards of quality while controlling food and payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent related experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to interpret and extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions.
