Job Title: Contracts Manager

Job Summary:

The Contracts Manager will oversee end-to-end contract management for The Mind Research Network and manage daily operations for all federal contracts and compliance. This role will work closely with administrative leadership and scientific teams to ensure efficient operations of the Institute's federal contracting process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee contract and subcontract administration in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Develop proposals and implement project controls
  • Facilitate and manage effective internal and external client relationships
  • Analyze contractual risks and implement policies and practices to mitigate risk
  • Research contract/new business opportunities
  • Perform all other related duties and tasks as required or assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of directly-related, progressively responsible professional-level research administration management experience
  • Minimum 2 years personnel management experience
  • Thorough understanding of and experience with the entire contract and grant life cycles
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Department of Defense supplement to FAR (DFARS), and National Institute of Health granting rules and guidelines
  • Outstanding negotiating skills and ability to navigate the complex Federal funding environment
  • Superior professional-level written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of professionalism, diplomacy, and discretion
  • Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong customer-service skills

Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in an office environment. Will operate standard office equipment and will frequently stand, walk, sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, use a telephone, perform repetitive motions, and occasionally lift objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
