Position Overview:

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Substation Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and practices, particularly in the realm of substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Electrical Substation Operations Manager, you will:
  • Lead and manage substation projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
  • Oversee the estimation and scheduling processes, collaborating closely with engineering teams to support technical design efforts.
  • Participate in design projects as necessary and contribute to quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment by promoting effective communication and mutual support among team members.

Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, with a focus on electrical engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in consulting or substation engineering/design.
  • Proficient in collaborating with code officials and design professionals regarding building code interpretations.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating drafters and designers to produce necessary drawings for substation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, National Electrical Code, and National Electrical Safety Code.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possession of an Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred.
