Position Summary:
This supervisory role involves direct oversight of staff. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, and performance management, along with fulfilling daily operational duties as required. This is an hourly position.
Position Specifications:
- Housing: May be available.
- Expected Pay Range: $53.98 / hour.
- Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time, Year Round.
- Skill Level: Team Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with and support Lift Maintenance Managers in their responsibilities.
- Schedule maintenance to ensure efficient ski lift operations for guests.
- Establish and adhere to priorities concerning safety, quality, and integrity.
- Monitor and address safety concerns in the workplace.
- Maintain lift logs and document all maintenance activities.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with inspections for all lifts.
- Train and guide millwrights, lift mechanics, apprentices, and laborers in the proper maintenance of ski lifts and machinery.
- Ensure lifts meet ANSI B.77 regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations for employees.
- Assist in lift operations through training, supervising staff, and operating lifts.
- Participate in departmental meetings and company events.
- Maintain and repair lift facilities according to company policies.
- Assist in establishing and managing departmental budgets.
- Coordinate with all departments proactively.
- Schedule manpower and resources in collaboration with other supervisors and managers.
- Inspect all lift facilities daily.
- Enhance safety and efficiency of lift operations.
- Manage projects effectively.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of ANSI code.
- Coordinate the procurement of tools and equipment.
- Facilitate effective communication between the Lift Maintenance crew and management.
- Implement and enhance the preventative maintenance program.
- Monitor the effectiveness of programs and strive for continuous improvement.
- Actively engage in daily maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of maintenance experience.
- Extensive mechanical background with proven experience in ski lift and machinery maintenance.
- Expertise in troubleshooting lift failures.
- Effective communication skills with staff and guests.
- Strong commitment to guest service.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Excel.
- Well-organized, adaptable to change, and able to perform additional duties as assigned.
- Clean driving record.
- Leadership skills with a high level of professionalism.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and nights.
- Capability to work at heights.
- Must possess Level III mechanic skills and abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory codes.
- Experience with heavy equipment for lift repairs.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
- Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions.
The expected pay range is $53.98. This is the anticipated pay range for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on various factors.
