Join Our Residency Program

We are pleased to offer a residency program for new graduate nurses or those with less than one year of experience in a different specialty. This program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, allowing you to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Program Highlights:

  • Participate in a residency core curriculum tailored to your individual learning needs
  • Work alongside a success coach to provide direct nursing care
  • Establish and revise priorities for patient care, taking into account acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability
  • Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce, or prevent risk
  • Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently
  • Document patient care in medical records

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) for Critical Care areas
  • TNCC certification within one year of appointment for ICU or PICU
  • IABP certification within one year of employment for CCU or CVSU
  • CVVHD training within one year of appointment for ICU or CVSU

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
