Staff Nurse Resource Pool I

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse Resource Pool I to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital. This is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week, with a shift of 7pm-7:30am.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care with a focus on family-centered care for individuals or groups of patients within the assigned scope of practice.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients served, regardless of age and developmental status.
- Perform leadership and professional duties, including precepting new employees and acting as a mentor to clinical staff.
- Support the provider staff and actively promote collaboration for efficient operation and quality care, and legendary customer service for pediatric patients using a team approach.
- Perform systems-based practice duties, including informatics and technology duties.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association is required.
- Active licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio is required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience is required.
This position is onsite and requires the ability to work well under pressure to prioritize and complete required tasks and responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
