We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Amazon Transportation Services team. As a key member of our Operations Finance team, you will partner with Transportation Operations Management, Delivery Service Providers, and 3P/1P carriers teams to provide strategic value and support our growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain financial models to analyze and optimize transportation costs, including Total Cost of Ownership and Cashflow financial models.
- Oversee financial reporting for our business area, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Lead planning, forecasting, and modeling for annual and quarterly planning cycles for CapEx.
- Identify opportunities to improve, scale, or simplify finance tools across teams and organizations.
- Collaborate with Controllership to resolve complex data integrity issues and improve controls to address financial risk.
- Communicate financial and non-financial trade-offs to business partners, making thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments.
- Develop and maintain expertise in financial systems, including large-scale data mining and reporting tools.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field.
- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
- MBA or CPA.
- Experience working with financial systems, including Oracle, SAP, Lawson, and JD Edwards.
