Job Description

Job Title: Field Service Specialist

Job Summary:

Peak Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Specialist to join our team. As a Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our customers, ensuring their equipment is functioning optimally and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with our customers' equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Install and Maintain Equipment: Install, maintain, and repair our customers' equipment, including forms handling equipment (FHE).
  • Develop Contingency Plans: Develop effective support plans to ensure seamless service delivery, even in the event of unexpected issues.
  • Promote Sales Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities to increase revenue and grow the business.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Document all field activities, expenses, and time reporting to ensure accurate records and compliance with company policies.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including sales and marketing, to ensure seamless service delivery and maximize business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Near-expert level technical background in electro-mechanical devices, such as printers, kiosk/ATM devices, or equivalent experience.
  • Education and Certifications: Associate Degree required and/or 5-plus years of equivalent work experience in field service, IT, or a similar industry. Certification in information technology, process improvement, or similar disciplines is desired.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Time Management and Organization: Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs without limitations or constraints, and to travel extensively throughout the country.
