Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 annually
Position Overview
Accountable for managing and directing all kitchen activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Train and mentor all kitchen personnel.
- Ensure consistent adherence to quality standards, portion control, and presentation.
- Oversee daily operational checklists.
- Regularly inspect all kitchen areas for cleanliness and order.
- Manage food and supply procurement.
- Supervise food preparation for events.
- Conduct monthly inventory of food supplies.
- Maintain budgetary controls and spending records.
- Stay informed about food service standards and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager on scheduling.
- Oversee daily specials for breakfast and dinner.
- Keep a log of waste and temperature controls.
- Identify and report maintenance needs.
- Promote safety and sanitation practices among staff.
- Comply with all hotel policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of kitchen experience.
Skills and Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and preparation methods.
- Ability to inspire and train staff in guest service excellence.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication abilities.
