Job Summary

As a Medical Evaluation Specialist with the State of South Carolina, you will play a critical role in evaluating physical impairments and determining residual functional capacity. This position requires a strong clinical background and excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities

* Review and evaluate evidence related to physical impairments
* Complete determinations of impairment severity and residual functional capacity
* Document medical severity ratings in accordance with Social Security Administration policy

Requirements

* Bachelor of Science in Nursing and 4 years of clinical experience or Associate Degree in Nursing and 6 years of clinical experience
* Completion of full training in SSA policies and procedures administered by Disability Determination Services

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degrees in nursing and 2 years of clinical experience
