Medical Biller Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Biller to support our revenue cycle team in Lexington, KY. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for processing patient claims and billing, working closely with the revenue cycle supervisor and insurance specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Posting daily patient incoming mail payments
  • Maintaining professional demeanor with patients, caregivers, physicians, and co-workers
  • Printing and reviewing patient statements
  • Answering patient balance inquiries
  • Working closely with revenue cycle supervisor and insurance specialist
  • Assisting with front-office duties as needed
  • Observing strict patient confidentiality in dealing with callers according to HIPAA regulations

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in medical billing
  • Experience with CPT codes, ICD-9, ICD-10, and medical coding
  • Knowledge of EHR/Epic and EMR systems
  • Claims processing experience
