Position Overview:
Mott MacDonald is seeking a temporary Construction Site Inspector to join a dedicated team monitoring the progress of water service line replacement activities conducted by contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
Daily field observation services, including but not limited to:
• Maintaining a daily log of site activities and occurrences
• Reporting issues encountered during the work
• Engaging with clients to secure Consent Form approvals
• Conducting reconnaissance meetings with clients and contractors
• Preparing site reports using a tablet, ensuring necessary photographs are captured and uploaded
• Regularly checking contractor compliance with Contract Documents and permit requirements
• Documenting discrepancies between Contract Documents and actual work performed
• Reviewing equipment, materials, and workmanship for adherence to Contract Documents and approved submissions
• Collecting feedback from residents and passersby
• Understanding and following all safety protocols, reporting incidents as necessary, and proactively preventing safety and security issues
• Monitoring contractor crew performance
• Collaborating with the Construction Management team to address arising issues
• Coordinating with supervisors on contractor change order requests
• Familiarity with the requirements of relevant regulatory agencies is advantageous.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
• A 2-year associate degree or two years of relevant Public Works inspection experience
• International Code Council (ICC) Plumbing Inspector certification (to be obtained within two months of hire)
• Strong organizational, administrative, communication (English), and interpersonal skills
• A valid driver's license
• Proficiency in record-keeping, daily reporting, and logging of testing results and weather conditions
• Physical capability to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds, as well as working in varying weather conditions
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the job or company guidelines.

Compensation:
In compliance with the Equal Pay Transparency Rules, the expected salary range is between $60,000 and $75,000. Multiple factors, including qualifications and experience, will influence the final salary.
