Position: Laboratory Technician II or Specialist in the Neuroscience Division
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a **dedicated** and **meticulous** Laboratory Technician II or Specialist to become a part of our Neuroscience Division. This position entails **conducting experimental protocols** and **supporting** the **administration of the laboratory**.

The ideal applicant should demonstrate **superior written communication skills**, a **desire to acquire** new laboratory methodologies, **robust analytical skills**, self-initiative, and the capacity to operate both **autonomously** and collaboratively within a team.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**
  • Mastery of laboratory research techniques and equipment operations
  • Assess research methodologies and protocols
  • Execute minor surgical procedures on small animals if necessary
  • Aid in data interpretation utilizing specialized software
  • Conduct literature reviews and research
  • Support academic initiatives within the lab
  • Mentor fellow staff on established procedures

Essential Qualifications for Laboratory Technician II:

Education: Associate's degree
