In this role, you will be instrumental in training, system testing, fund onboarding, and the development and maintenance of reports.

This position requires collaboration with clients and interfacing with various departments including investor services, operations management, client service, and business analysts to address the needs of both new and existing private equity funds, providing comprehensive solutions to complex client challenges.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional client service by maintaining strong client relationships, addressing inquiries, and ensuring timely deliverables.
  • Oversee a team of accountants in the reporting process for designated clients, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.
  • Manage and assess the timing and quality of client deliverables.
  • Engage with senior management and cultivate relationships with high-profile clients.
  • Provide clients with technical accounting and industry expertise.
  • Coordinate and supervise the external audit process.
  • Review and analyze partnership agreements and other relevant materials for private equity fund clients.
  • Oversee client onboarding and implementation, ensuring proper setup of fund structures within the accounting system.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and reporting improvements to boost operational efficiency and client service while minimizing operational risk.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a private equity fund, private equity administration, or public accounting firm with financial services clients.
  • Proven focus on client service and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and alternative investments.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in coaching and motivating team members.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP.
  • Knowledge of the investor accounting and reporting processes for private equity funds, including capital calls, transfers, distributions, rebalancing, waterfall calculations, clawbacks, carried interest, management fees, side pockets, special allocations, opt in/out, hurdle and catch-up rates, and IRR calculations.
  • Experience with alternative investment fund structures such as master/feeder, standalone, fund of funds, and share-based/capital accounts.
  • Ability to read and interpret private equity fund documents.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Audit and control mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities.
