Compensation varies based on experience and location, with job opportunities available throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Hourly wage ranges from $29 to $34.

If the selected candidate possesses qualifications that exceed the basic requirements, the job level may be elevated.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, agricultural machinery such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, or tractors; or military heavy equipment like MRAP vehicles, HMEE, or tanks; aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) or similar
  • Prior experience in mechanical or equipment service
  • Educational background in mechanics, electrical or hydraulic systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components as needed
  • Utilize all available technical resources (such as operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) for troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying necessary parts for repairs
  • Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and prepare reports
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with Altec Safety practices and procedures
  • Inform supervisors of any situations that may affect customer relations
  • Provide accurate and complete information on all required documentation
  • Exemplify Altec Company Values in all actions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Physical capability to lift objects and tools weighing up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling
  • High level of dexterity
  • As required, provide basic tools according to Altec's tool policy
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles
  • Develop basic computer skills with Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to support customers by working overtime
