Role Summary: The Heavy Equipment Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of various construction machinery and mechanical systems. This role requires a strong focus on troubleshooting and ensuring the operational efficiency of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in construction machinery.
  • Dismantle equipment to access and replace defective components using hand tools and hoists.
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment, including oil changes and fluid checks.
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as diesel and gasoline engines.
  • Manage inventory by ordering necessary parts and maintaining accurate records.
  • Conduct performance tests on machinery to ensure functionality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
  • Personal tools required for the position.
