As a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician/ Welding Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and effective repair of machine components in our shop. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining our high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and rework metrics.
  • Work safely and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete jobs accurately and timely.
  • Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
  • Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, provide recommendations for repairs.
  • Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Knowledge of database software, Internet software, manufacturing software, and order processing systems.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work activities.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
