Position Overview:

The Patient Services Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the patient foodservice division within the Food & Nutrition Services Department of Trinity Health. This position is responsible for the direct management of local supervisors and staff, ensuring the effective coordination of all activities within the patient foodservice unit.

The Patient Services Manager collaborates with the General Manager to develop and manage preliminary budgets, implement cost reduction strategies, and support the overall goals and objectives of Trinity Health. This role is essential in meeting productivity targets while enhancing service quality and patient satisfaction. The manager will ensure that the General Manager and team are informed of any issues affecting program efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

- Uphold and demonstrate the mission, vision, and values of Trinity Health in all operations.
- Supervise the daily activities of patient foodservice to meet service support objectives.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and creativity.
- Provide operational support to manage patient foodservice programs effectively.
- Ensure compliance with clinical care policies and dietary modifications as per nutritional care plans.
- Develop and maintain educational materials for patients and healthcare professionals.
- Monitor financial performance and assist in preparing annual budgets.
- Conduct regular reviews of patient satisfaction and implement improvement plans as necessary.
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and compliance with procurement processes.

Qualifications:

- BA or BS degree in institutional management, dietetics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of progressive experience in healthcare foodservice management.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and collaborative work environment.

This role is pivotal in enhancing the overall patient experience through effective management of food services, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance are maintained throughout the department.
