Position: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Central Office
Overview:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) plays a pivotal role in leading the organization towards achieving its mission and objectives. This position involves overseeing the strategic direction of the agency, ensuring effective program development, and maintaining accountability to the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Strategic Leadership**: Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish organizational priorities and develop programs that address community needs. Evaluate program effectiveness through data collection and analysis.
2. **Board Liaison**: Serve as the primary staff contact for the Board, facilitating communication and assisting in the formulation of goals and objectives. Provide regular updates on organizational performance and challenges.
3. **Funding Coordination**: Act as the main point of contact between the Board and funding entities. Ensure all reports and funding applications are accurate and submitted in a timely manner, while also overseeing the development of program applications.
4. **Community Engagement**: Lead efforts to coordinate anti-poverty initiatives within the local area. Supervise public relations activities and foster partnerships with local social services, health, and educational organizations.
5. **Administrative Oversight**: Manage all aspects of the organization’s operations, including fiscal management and personnel administration. Oversee hiring, performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of five years of senior management experience.
- Proven experience in organizational leadership, including planning, staffing, and budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of financial management and funding processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- A commitment to serving the community and addressing human needs.
