About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Governance Professional to join our team at TD Bank Group. As a key member of our Governance and Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of risk and the maintenance of a strong governance and internal control environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of risk-related programs to effectively manage and mitigate operational/regulatory risk.
  • Facilitate risk assessments, monitor policy and regulatory requirements adherence, conduct quality control testing, remediate identified gaps and issues, provide insightful advice and independent challenge.
  • Facilitate regulatory exams and internal audits, and encourage transparent discussion of operational/regulatory risk issues fostering an effective transparent risk culture.
  • Develop and maintain a robust understanding of governance and control requirements, and provide subject matter expertise to projects/initiatives.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Broad and deep knowledge of business and risk and control environment.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of governance, risk and control procedures, strategies & tactics.
  • Proficient Knowledge of current and emerging trends.
  • Skill in mentoring/coaching others.
  • Skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques.
  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships.
  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
  • Ability to analyze, research, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Financial service risk management with demonstrated proficiency in liquidity risk.
  • Strong experience in complying with US regulatory requirements and expectations related to corporate strategy and policy, risk measurement and reporting (e.g., liquidity stress testing, Liquidity Coverage Ratio, Net Stable Funding Ratio, 2052a).
