Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Northside Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Select and operate the appropriate technical factors for each study, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Perform and complete diagnostic CT examinations in a caring and respectful manner, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
  • Assist in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures, maintaining a thorough understanding of the CT scanner and its operation.
  • Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety while utilizing auxiliary equipment and devices.
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to the exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
  • Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregivers, including the radiologist.
  • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of the table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep the room stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
Requirements
  • Completion of a 2-year/Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology at an accredited, AMA-approved institution.
  • Valid ARRT (CT) certification.
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology (X-Ray), preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.
