Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Select and operate the appropriate technical factors for diagnostic CT examinations, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Perform and complete diagnostic CT examinations accurately, efficiently, and with a focus on patient care and comfort.
  • Assist in the administration of contrast media and other related procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, maintaining modesty and ensuring safe and efficient use of auxiliary equipment and devices.
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within the electronic medical record system accurately and on time.
  • Obtain high-quality CT images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
  • Remain proficient in executing software protocols and stay up-to-date with changes in the field through ongoing education and training.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, colleagues, and radiologists to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of the CT scanner and surrounding area, and ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Radiologic Technology program at an accredited, AMA-approved institution.
  • Valid ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications.
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to CT and X-ray.
  • Knowledge of safety practices relative to radiation safety, hazardous materials, and infection control policies.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique, and patient positioning techniques specific to CT and X-ray.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment (100+/- lbs.).
