About the Role

We are seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join our client's team and contribute to their exciting projects. As an Automation Engineer, you will be at the forefront of developing and optimizing automation systems that enhance operational efficiency and support our client's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Spearhead multiple automation engineering projects from concept through to start-up, including coordinating with external design and systems integration firms.
  • Develop project scopes of work that align with broad automation engineering principles, adhering to international and internal standards.
  • Ensure all project phases from feasibility to closeout comply with corporate standards and contractual agreements.
  • Manage project budgets, oversee cost estimates, and review financial documents such as purchase orders and invoices.
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and qualification activities of automation projects ensuring all cGMPs, safety practices, and engineering standards are met.
  • Provide expert technical support to optimize operations for safety and quality compliance, increase production efficiency, and enhance asset reliability.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors, managing conflicts effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and integrate best practices into operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field).
  • 8+ years of experience in automation engineering, with specific experience in manufacturing or related industries.
  • 3+ years of project management experience, with a proven ability to lead projects from concept to implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with automation systems, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, vision inspection systems, and robotics.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards (ISA-S88, ISA-S95) and engineering qualification procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills, with a focus on automation and control systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant project management software.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%) to various corporate, plant, and supplier locations.
