Job Title: Store Manager

Job Summary:

The Store Manager is a leadership role responsible for maximizing store business results by creating exceptional customer experiences. This involves providing uniquely responsive customer service, compelling merchandise presentation, operational integrity, optimal staffing, and associate development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement financial plans to maintain KPI performance and facilitate consistent, exceptional customer experiences through the execution and ongoing development of the MOD role.
  • Coach the store team on the link between service behaviors and business results, providing leadership, feedback, and recognition to improve financial performance and support the Company's Service Model, Values, and Mission Statement.
  • Ensure effective communication of direction and education to the team, maintain optimal staffing and scheduling, and respond to customer feedback with a sense of urgency.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard managers and associates, assess teams' performance on an ongoing basis, and provide in-the-moment coaching, training, and development to support the growth of the Company.
  • Manage daily associate relations issues and annual performance review process, ensure store appearance and visual standards/presentation consistent with the DSW brand image, and respond to business trends by communicating information to the District Manager as needed.
  • Lead by example and foster knowledge and integrity with regard to compliance with company policy in all practices, effectively use resources and business partners to resolve issues with a sense of passion, and recognize when to change strategic direction to attain and sustain maximum results.

Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands of the job include moving and standing, including moving around the store to assist customers and associates, lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis, and performing physical activities such as holding a scanning gun, keying and processing register transactions, lifting and bagging merchandise, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing, stretching, and reaching on a frequent basis.

Estimated Pay Range: $71,000.00 to $89,000.00. The successful candidate's actual pay rate offer will take into account a wide range of job-related factors, including skill sets, years and nature of relevant experience, training, pay rates of associates in similar positions, the candidate's location, and other organizational needs.
