Job Summary:

A dynamic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Hydrogeological Field Assistant to join our Water business in the United States. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting drilling operations and assisting in the installation of monitoring wells, slope inclinometers, and other instrumentation.

Your Opportunity:

This role offers an excellent chance to develop your skills and expertise in hydrogeological fieldwork, working alongside experienced professionals who share your passion for delivering sustainable solutions to real-world problems. You will be responsible for assisting the driller in various drilling techniques, including solid stem and hollow stem auger drilling, rock coring, mud rotary drilling, and other advanced methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the driller in setting up and operating drilling rigs and related equipment
  • Help move, load, and unload trucks, as well as bag or jar samples for analysis
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drill rig equipment
  • Collaborate with the driller to install monitoring well casing and screens
  • Participate in site investigation and geotechnical drilling activities to determine soil characteristics

Requirements:

  • At least 21 years old (due to interstate driving regulations)
  • Class A CDL license preferred but not required
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card and pass ongoing and random drug screenings
  • Mechanical skills are highly desirable
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • One year of experience in a similar role

We offer a competitive salary package: $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications, plus overtime pay for additional hours worked.

Travel Requirements:

This position involves extensive travel, approximately 75% of the time, with assignments primarily located within the United States.
