Job Summary

Calloway & Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled Paralegal/Legal Assistant to provide fact witness management services to the US Attorney's Office in Lexington, KY. The ideal candidate will have experience in a legal setting and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide witness management assistance prior to, during, and after trial.
  • Field phone calls, questions, and other inquiries from fact witnesses.
  • Initiate contact with fact witnesses to notify them of court appearances and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Use judgment to determine when the AUSA should be notified of special circumstances or needs of fact witnesses.
  • Make necessary arrangements for fact witness travel and lodging according to Department of Justice and USAO policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit documentation for fact witness reimbursement.
  • Assist USAO Cardholder to reconcile the Government Travel Account.
  • Perform general office procedures pertaining to fact witness management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma; some college preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a legal setting and/or fact witness management.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Good communication skills.
Benefits

Calloway & Associates, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $20 - $25 per hour, plus $4.98 per hour to offset the cost of benefits. The company also provides eleven paid holidays, PTO, Sick, and 401K with up to 3% match.
