About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Bilingual Peer Support Specialist to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) in Marin County. As a key member of our team, you will provide crisis-focused, field-based peer-to-peer support to individuals in need, working collaboratively with law enforcement, first responders, and community providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized crisis follow-up peer counseling and resource navigation support to individuals in Marin County.
  • Work closely with the MCRT team to respond to mental health and substance abuse crises, providing rapid crisis intervention and de-escalation in the field.
  • Assist with crisis intervention, targeted case management, advocacy, service navigation, and other supports to ensure clients are connected to appropriate resources.
Requirements
  • Personal lived and living experience of mental health challenges, with a willingness to disclose to participants and during counselor trainings.
  • Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish proficiently.
  • Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • 2 years of professional experience supporting people with behavioral health challenges.
  • Proficient computer skills, including typing and data entry.
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills.
