Position Overview:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a vital role in our Imaging Float Pool, providing essential services across various facilities. This position requires a high level of independent judgment and initiative in utilizing radionuclides for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Care: Responsible for patient interaction during procedures, ensuring proper identification, and responding to emergencies. Collect patient histories and verify procedural contraindications while maintaining effective communication with patients and their families.
  • Radiopharmaceutical Management: Adhere to protocols for the receipt and return of radioactive materials, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper labeling and storage of these materials.
  • Archiving and Documentation: Maintain precise records of performed exams, operate the PACS system, and ensure proper archiving of radiopharmaceutical information.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Keep a clean and organized work environment, manage supplies, and dispose of hazardous materials appropriately.
  • Radiation Safety: Implement safety measures for radioactive materials, instruct patients and families on safety protocols, and ensure compliance with departmental policies.
  • Education and Mentorship: Provide guidance to students and new hires, evaluate their progress, and report on educational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree from an accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
Certifications:
Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT (N) or CNMT) and possess a SCRQSA license.

Skills and Experience:
Exceptional customer service skills, experience with Philips equipment preferred, and familiarity with PACS and EMR systems.
