Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases using radionuclides.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures, including imaging, non-imaging, and function studies, under the direction of a nuclear medicine physician or cardiologist.
  • Operate and maintain auxiliary equipment necessary for procedures, including radionuclide administration and imaging devices.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient procedures, including dosing and imaging protocols.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology school.
  • 1-year Nuclear Medicine experience.
  • ARRT (N) or NMTCB registry with five years' experience in nuclear medicine.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience on Philips equipment.
  • Spect/CT experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
